Faceless Portraits (Please See Description...)

Faceless Interview
A word with my cousins, Jaimey & TJ. (Siblings)

Jaimey is in the 6th grade and TJ is in the 4th grade.  I asked them both 4 questions each, which accounts for the answers from both of them, along with photos.  I couldn’t interview just Jaimey or just TJ because they were both there and I did not want to have hurt feelings.  I thought that interviewing people who are younger than me would be fun, to get a different perspective.  After the interview, photographing them was somewhat more difficult than I had once thought.  In short, it was difficult to guide them and make a well composed shot.  Jaimey was much easier to guide, whereas TJ got bored halfway through and I had to catch some photos that were a little more rushed.  They didn’t have the patience to be guided and I actually used most of their input on how they wanted to do things, that way I could see how they would be on the computer or play video games on the Nintendo DS.   That being said, some photos are sincerely “In the act”, such as TJ playing video games.  In all, I am pleased with how these photos turned out.  I think having these type of photos more staged than they are would render the photos fake and unrealistic, thus giving off less emotion and interest.

So, Who are you guys? ( I know their names, I just wanted to feel like an important interviewer.)

Jaimey: “Hey there I’m Jaimey.”

TJ: “Hi, my name is TJ.”

  1. What is one thing  you could not live without?  (Maybe two)

Jaimey:
“I could not live without my American Girl doll.  Oh oh oh, and my umm… Knitting kit kind of sort of thing.”

TJ:
“I couldn’t live without my 3ds and computer.  Oh, and Minecraft.”

  1. What is your favorite food?  A food that you could eat for the rest of your life?

Jaimey:
“I love my peppermint ice cream!"

TJ:
“Taquitos!”

  1. What bothers or annoys you?

Jaimey:
*Points* “TJ.”

TJ:
*Points* “Jaimey.”

  1. What is your favorite activity or sport?

Jaimey:
“I love board games and swimming! And…. The piano too I guess. OH! And photography.”

TJ:
“Only two: Soccer and Sky High (Trampoline place).  Oh, and video games!”
